The Annual Pilgrimage to Agongue, where members and shepherds gather to pray is fast approaching. This annual event holds great significance for our Church, as it serves as a point of contact where the Pastor Founder, Rev Prophet SBJ Oshoffa had an engagement with the Holy Spirit, similar to Jacob in the Bible.
However, amidst the hardships faced in our country (Nigeria) where the economic stimulus remains unbalanced, the Church administration under the pastorship of Rev EMF Oshoffa has decided to shoulder the financial responsibilities of members and shepherds who plan to attend the Annual Agongue gathering.
In a press statement released by the Church spokesman before amended, it was announced that Rev EMF Oshoffa intends to provide OGI AND AKARA (BEAN CAKE AND PAP) free of charge. This complimentary meal will serve as an alternative to assist members and shepherds in feeling comfortable after being provided with free transportation.
We understand the importance of supporting our shepherds and ensuring their well-being during this sacredness event. Therefore, Rev EMF Oshoffa has taken it upon himself to go above and beyond, providing not only transportation but also a nourishing meal.
While the kind gesture of the Pastor was appreciated, the question arises: do the devoted Celestial Shepherds, who have made sacrifices to fulfill their commitment for years, including mobilizing to pay monthly returns only deserve to be served Akara & Ogi for 3 days?
The skeptical questions that immediately emerged after the announcement from the Church Spokesman were whether it was the Pastor’s decision to provide Akara and Ogi for his followers, Alternatively, was it an advice from the Pastor’s close aides who suggested Akara and Ogi taking into account the economic hardships in Nigeria.
It is crucial for the Church authority to demonstrate respect for its shepherds in the court of public opinion by offering them a more substantial gift, which would elicit a balanced response from them. The Church authority should allocate a budget that can accommodate a standard meal, including Rice, Chicken and drinks for all participants of the Annual Agongue.

This inability to justify the financial inflow is primarily due to the abandonment of the Basilica Project at Imeko, as well as the neglect of the Church Seminary School situated along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway.
Additionally, it is worth noting that the Church authority has not undertaken any new parish construction endeavors worldwide. Instead, their focus lies in managing the existing parishes established by individuals, groups, and landlord shepherds. Since, the Church authority don’t have provision for infrastructure projects, than the welfare of Shepherds should be out into consideration.
