In a widely circulated voice note, a resident of Imeko named YUSUF publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with M/S/E Fatusin for neglecting his obligations to the deities that supposedly saved his life. This raises several important questions:
(1) Does M/S/E Fatusin even know this individual named Yusuf?
(2) Did M/S/E Fatusin actually fell sick?
(3) Instead of seeking medical attention at a reputable hospital, was M/S/E Fatusin taken to Imeko, considering his experience with high-quality healthcare facilities in the UK?
(4) Did M/S/E Fatusin visit an herbalist for treatment?
(5) Did M/S/E Fatusin fail to fulfill his obligations to the gods?
(6) Did M/S/E Fatusin meet with the Oba of Imeko following the official report from Mr Yusuf to the monarch?
(7) Did M/S/E Fatusin pay #100,000 to appease the gods and fulfill the covenant?
It Is a fact that only the accuser, Most Superior Evangelist Amos Olabode Fatusin who can provide clear answers to these questions, not his spokesperson or media team.
GOD VIEWS ON IDOL WORSHIPPERS.
In the Old Testament, idol worship was met with severe penalties. Exodus 22:20 states that God instructed the Israelites, “Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the Lord must be destroyed.” This meant that those caught engaging in idolatry were to be stoned to death.
God’s principle is a well-known fact: He does not allow anyone to attach any fetish, idol or evil gods to His kingdom. This clear explanation stands as one of the evangelization messages to humanity.
CELESTIAL CHURCH’S VIEWS ON IDOL WORSHIPPERS.
A documentation duly signed by the Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa highlights the position of the Church regarding engagement with fetish societies. The Church Constitution, in sections 102 and 103, states:
102. Nobody shall be considered a member of the Church until they have been baptized in the Celestial Church of Christ, regardless of any previous baptism(s) in any other Christian denomination(s).
103. A worshipper desiring to become a member shall: (I) Renounce membership of all secret cults, societies, fraternities, etc. (ii) Renounce the worship of all idols and fetish. (iii) Desist from the worship of Satan and all his works, from following any fetish priests, and from engaging in magic or any powers of darkness.
The Church neither approves nor encourages any members to have responsibilities or duties in the evil world. Regardless of the situation, consequences or urgency, the Church denies the holiness of God’s directives for the Church.
WHAT ACTIONS WILL THE CHURCH AUTHORITY TAKE?
The allegation of senior clergies engaging with traditional gods at Imeko has been a recurring issue that the Church has chosen to ignore, without taking any significant steps to address the transparency of leadership within the Church. In the past, during the tenure of Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa and his successor Rev AA Bada, CCC Agege Parish 1 in Lagos was dedicated as a venue for fact-finding sessions to investigate similar and related issues.
However, in recent years, the Church has discreetly covered up allegations against a high clergy who was accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior with a woman at Imeko. The accuser was supposed to be taken to the shrine to confess the allegation, but the timely intervention of other Most Evangelists persuaded the locals of Imeko to allow the accused high clergy to make his confession within the Church instead of being taken to the temple of the gods. Unfortunately, the Church authority failed to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged misconduct of senior clergy.
To ensure the credibility of the Church authority, it is imperative that a committee of three individuals with unquestionable integrity be established to thoroughly investigate all the issues within the next two weeks. The findings of this committee should be made public, as it is crucial for the Church to demonstrate its commitment to transparency and accountability.
