Recently, the attention of genuine Celestian members has been drawn to a Shepherd who claims to have never received anointment from any Pastor. This has raised questions about his position within the circle of Shepherds in the fold.
While it is true that the Church structure has suffered from the collapse of its administration, we cannot overlook the lack of proper arrangement that the Church currently faces. Although the Anointment exercise has lost its value and spiritual essence in some aspects, there are still members who adhere to the foundational principles as instructed by the Pastor Founder.
Oluso Oluwatosin Nabi, the Shepherd-in-Charge of CCC SBJ Oshoffa Parish in Wasimi Abeokuta made a shocking confession during a live broadcast with Oluso Ibukun Emmanuel. He boldly admitted that he has never been anointed in his lifetime. Not only does this Shepherd disregard the basic ordinances of God for the Church, but he also tarnishes the Church’s truth and values. He proudly claims to have become a Shepherd 29 years ago, yet he chooses to wear a Shepherd regalia of his own preference, rather than one aligned with God’s purpose.
Section 199 of the Church Constitution specifically explained the biblical definition of anointment exercise in Celestial Church of Christ while It is crucial to emphasize the significance of following a leader who is divinely chosen and possesses a clear vision. The unguided approach of the self-proclaimed Oluso Nabi has not only exposed his true intentions but also highlighted the importance of discernment when choosing a spiritual guide.
It is essential to recognize that Rev SBJ Oshoffa has been anointed by God to establish a Church that serves as a beacon of hope and salvation for humanity. This divine appointment underscores the necessity of aligning ourselves with a leader who is guided by the spirit of God.
While we acknowledge that our leadership have its imperfections, we cannot allow the complete abandonment of the Church’s guiding principles. It is our duty to uphold the spirit of the Church and ensure that its teachings and values are not compromised.
It is imperative to discern between leaders who lack direction and those who have been anointed by God. Rev SBJ Oshoffa’s divine appointment to establish a Church for the salvation of humanity serves as a reminder of the importance of following a leader who is guided by the spirit of God. While we may have our shortcomings in leadership, we must never allow the Church’s spirit of guidance to be completely disregarded.
The actions of Nabi, the self-proclaimed Shepherd, not only undermine the integrity of the Church but also raise concerns about the authenticity of the Church authority. The Church must strive to restore its rightful structure and ensure that its members adhere to the sacred principles set forth by the Pastor Founder.
