In response to the allegations leveled against St. Paul, which include accusations of irregularities and corrupt practices, as well as the issuance of certificates of anointment for the rank of Venerable Superior Evangelist, St. Paul has been actively engaging in conversations with disgruntled members. These members feel that St. Paul’s fundamental rights have been violated.
In a statement obtained by Celestial Prerogative News, St. Paul acknowledged that he has become a victim of church politics due to his close association with Most Senior Evangelist Solomon Oshoffa. He further explained that it is V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa, Shepherd of CCC International Headquarters Ketu, Lagos (Unannounced Personal Assistant) who is responsible for the recent backlash against him.
Furthermore, he stated that he was neither invited to any investigation meeting nor informed to defend himself. Instead, he found out about his dismissal through social media, just like other members of the Church. However, paragraph 2 of the Pastor’s announcement regarding his dismissal from the Transfer Committee conclude that a DISCREET investigation was conducted regarding the matter at hand.
These conflicting claims bring to mind the statement made by Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo during the Coker Commission of Inquiries in 1958 where he famously said “Between him and Late Tafawa Balewa, one person is lying.”
It is worth noting that the Transfer Committee consisted of Individuals such as Rev EMF Oshoffa (Chairman), AVSE Olisa (Secretary), VSE Adjovi, VSE Okanlawon, Prophet Makayi Paul, VSE Elijah Bello, S/V/M/S/E David Bello and M/S/E Solomon Oshoffa. This information may be of interest to members of the Committee members who have kept muted during the emergence of the saga.
Regarding the St. Paul saga, it has been alleged that he collected money from 112 clergies in Edo State for anointment. In response, he promptly clarified that if only 2 clergies out of the 112 clergies can come out publicly to testify of the alleged claims of money transitions not to talk of 112 clergies.
This situation highlights the complex dynamics within the church and the potential influence of personal relationships on decision-making processes. It is crucial for all parties involved to approach this matter with fairness, transparency, and adherence to established administrative protocols. Celestial members must strive to uphold the principles of justice and unity, ensuring that the rights of all members are respected which St Paul case should stand has a reference point.
