It has become imperative for me to shed light on the proposed agenda of VSE Adjovi, the Chairman of the Church Taskforce/ State Evangelist in Osun State. Through a recent phone conversation with him, it became evident that VSE Adjovi is nothing more than an opportunist who has taken advantage of the collapsed system of our Church administration. I kindly request members to take a moment to read my discussion with VSE Adjovi. I appreciate your indulgence and understanding.
Approximately one month ago, I engaged in a phone conversation with VSE Adjovi regarding his misguided instruction to VSE Bola Olaleye. VSE Adjovi had instructed VSE Olaleye to retract his courageous statement as the leader of the Concerned Shepherd/Church workers in the United Kingdom. Concerned by VSE Adjovi’s authoritarian approach towards VSE Olaleye, I personally reached out to express my concerns.
During our conversation, the discussion veered towards his uncountable behavioral attitude at the harvest of CCC Ilesha Cathedral & the aftermath of his action, likewise his failed attempt toward the shepherd of CCC Wonderland Model Parish Osogbo & the illegal dissolution of the registered Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Church by Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa. I reminded VSE Adjovi that the sovereignty of Nigerian law supersedes the Church Constitution. Specifically, I pointed out that Section 108 of the Church Constitution grants the Pastor full autonomy to make decisions without consulting any body or group. However, since the Church is registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission Act, Nigerian law takes precedence over every provision in our Church Constitution.
I also reminded VSE Adjovi that he initially entered the Celestial Church administration with the claim of resolving the differences between the registered BOT and the Pastor. However, he conveniently remained silent when the Pastor appointed him as the Chairman of the Taskforce Committee of the Church. He however defended himself saying that he tabled the demand of the registered BOT before the Pastor, but the Pastor was adamant of his position.
Furthermore, VSE Adjovi revealed that Superior Evangelist Pius Olarewaju deliberately kept the Pastor in the dark by withholding funds for purchasing diesel to fuel the generator at the Pastor’s residence. Intrigued by this revelation, I inquired about VSE Adjovi’s relationship with the Elders in the Church. He mentioned MSE Ajao as someone he had a good rapport with. Sensing an opportunity, I requested VSE Adjovi to obtain the video clip of the meeting held in January 2021 at Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s residence in Abekouta from MSE Ajao. This meeting aimed to resolve the dispute between the registered BOT and the Pastor.
I emphasized to VSE Adjovi that if he could access the video, we could delve further into the discussion regarding the alleged mistreatment of the Pastor by the registered BOT. During the recorded meeting, the former president posed direct questions to the Pastor, who struggled to provide satisfactory answers. I informed VSE Adjovi that the Pastor himself admitted during the meeting that the registered BOT did not mistreat him. Surprisingly, President Olusegun Obasanjo expressed his displeasure, stating that it was the Pastor who initially approached his office to report the registered BOT but later retracted his claims.
I informed VSE Adjovi that the Pastor would lose the court case if he continued with it. I suggested that the Pastor’s only option was to arrange a meeting with the registered BOT to seek a settlement. Additionally, I advised VSE Adjovi to tell the Pastor to make an unexpected visit to MSE Nunayon in Ibadan, similar to his visit to Baba Jorotom in his Parish.
During our conversation, I expressed my concern to VSE Adjovi that he and others close to the Pastor had failed to provide him with accurate information about the state of the Church administration. VSE Adjovi acknowledged that there were issues within the Church administration structure.
I discussed with VSE Adjovi his recent visit to the UK embassy in pursuit of a visa to the United Kingdom. Regrettably, his application was rejected. Coincidentally, a fellow member of our Church was also present at the embassy on the same day. VSE Adjovi voiced his concerns, questioning his entitlement to freely visit any destination he wishes. In response, I clarified that he does possess the fundamental rights to travel and explore any location of his choosing. Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge that his conduct at the UK embassy drew the attention of the Church member present on that particular day.
VSE Adjovi deliberately recorded our conversation on his phone in order to attract unnecessary attention from the Pastor. He had the option to send this conversation to a Celestial content writer, seeking emotional support for his countless instances of church abuse and attempting to revive a failed report on social media.
Two weeks ago, VSE Adjovi shared the phone conversation with a Celestial content writer. After listening to it, the writer informed VSE Adjovi that, in his view, there was nothing incriminating has explained by VSE Adjovi. In a further attempt to embarrass himself, VSE Adjovi sent the conversation to another Celestial content writer a few days ago. This individual advised him to abandon his failed plan, as the phone conversation would only expose VSE Adjovi as an unruly and misguided shepherd in the church.
I publicly demand that VSE Adjovi summon the courage to release the voice note for all members of the Celestial Church to examine and analyze our conversation.
If you ever have the need to contact VSE Adjovi, be aware that he is conscious of what you discuss with him. He possesses the instinct to record your conversation with the intention of playing it for the Pastor. VSE Adjovi knows that one of the Pastor’s weaknesses is to eliminate another member through voice recordings.
I want to make it clear that I stand by my words. If the Pastor continues to pursue the case regarding the dissolution of the registered BOT in court, he will lose and the court will grant power to the registered BOT.
VSE Adjovi secretly reached out to those Celestial content writers/bloggers, sharing our conversation with them in order to broadcast it on their program as a means to regain control over his questionable behavior as the Taskforce Chairman Committee. Again I urge VSE Adjovi to find the courage to publicly release the voice note to the entire congregation of the Church for proper evaluation.
It Is clear that VSE Adjovi’s actions and motives are questionable. His opportunistic nature and disregard for proper procedures undermine the integrity of our Church administration. It is crucial that we address these concerns and ensure that our Church operates in a fair and transparent manner.
