The recently held Fundraising Dinner on October 13, 2023, at Radisson Blu Hotel in GRA Lagos shed light on the current state of our Church in terms of unity and response to Christ’s work. Unfortunately, the outcome of this event further justified the notion that our Church is facing a serious collapse.
Aside from the failure to declare the funds generated, which is a violation of the Freedom Act 2011, there was also a noticeable absence of key members, including those from the unregistered Board of Trustees. The event did not reflect the attention and seriousness expected from a religious organization with a 76-year history. Instead, it resembled more of a casual get-together party, with the focus shifting towards the performance of Honorary Evangelist Dosumu Abel (Mega 99), rather than the fundraising efforts. Money was lavishly spent on Mega 99, rather than being directed towards the intended cause.
It is imperative that we, as faithful followers, be honest with ourselves and with God. We must communicate the obvious truth to our Pastor, urging him to reconcile with any aggrieved parties and act as a religious leader.
