The family of AVSE Olabige had accused the Parish Elders of neglecting them, while the Parish, in turn accused the children of physical abuse and threats to their lives. On September 13th, 2023, a meeting was held to finalize a lasting solution that would provide a sense of belonging to the family of AVSE Olabige, while also establishing a framework to address their welfare needs.
Additionally, the Parish Elders demanded an apology from the children, who had consistently used offensive language towards one another. The meeting also facilitated further discussions to solidify the agreement through comprehensive documentation.
The meeting also agreed that CCC Olorunsogo Parish Akure will remain the Province Head of Akure/ Idannre without any caution of division to settle Akure from Idanre while VSE Tanimowo will continue to be the Head of the Province.
In attendance at the meeting were VSE Fesojaye, VSE Tanimowo, M/C Omodudu, and the Parochial Committee members, including the Elders from the Parish.
Glory be to God. We hope to see more of this in other parishes
