With the latest developments regarding an allegations levelled against the “Shepherd” of Celestial Church of Christ, Alpha & Omega, Ashipa Parish 4 “David Oshoffa” who was accused of poisoning two brothers to death around the Seme Border Badagry, Lagos state. The Yaba Magistrate Court had ordered the accuser to be transferred immediately to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending a decision on the merits of the case.
In a quick response to reveal the truth; The Church Spokesperson issued an online press release that completely alienated the church and the Oshoffa’s family from the accuser. Two sons of a founding Pastor isolated their family away from the person who accused of poisoning two brothers. The Spokesperson also explained that the church had checked her enrollment records and it never showed any affiliation of the parish with the church.
While the Church’s authority’s initiative in responding to the news is commendable, it remains to be shown that if a competent court orders someone to be sent to a correctional center, such order never justify the person’s had been convict of the crime. In addition, the Oshoffa’s family requires a structure to represent the family with one voice.
The family shall have a spokesperson among themselves to represent them in any public discussion. “David Oshoffa” who shares the same name as the Founding Pastor has not specified whether or not he is a member of the Founding Pastor or his one of the biological son of the founding Pastor, neither a relative of the founding Pastor.
We condemn any final act of killing and we demand justice from anyone involved in human rights abuses and killings. However, we advise the public to wait patiently for the court’s decision on this matter.
