AJIDARA ELUCIDATES CCC IBARA DRAMA.
The value of true revelation in clarifying facts was exemplified by Evangelist Segun Ajidara following the recent minor disagreement that took place at CCC Ibara Cathedral, Abeokuta on the early morning of July 29, 2023 during their musical concert. As previously reported by Celestial Prerogative in a viral video on social media, some youths prevented him from performing as one of their guest artists.
In a clear explanation provided by Evangelist Segun Ajidara, he shed light on what transpired during the minor disagreement. He disclosed that the agreement between himself and the Harvest Committee was a professional deal facilitated by a third party, Brother Abija who is a member of CCC Ibara Cathedral. Brother Abija negotiated on behalf of the Harvest Committee of the Parish.
Evangelist Segun Ajidara further explained that during their discussion to finalize the timing and payment for the musical concert, he had informed Abija that he would only be available between 3 am and 3:30 am on July 29, 2023, due to another commitment he had on the same day. Despite this limitation, the facilitator agreed to his terms and conditions, and they sealed the deal. It is worth noting that he reduced his fixed price for the Parish from ₦800,000 to ₦300,000 as a gesture of commitment to their 49th Adult Harvest Thanksgiving.
His professionalism and commitment to the Parish’s Harvest Thanksgiving are evident in his willingness to accommodate their schedule and reduce his fee. Furthermore, Evangelist Segun Ajidara mentioned that two weeks before the musical concert, he had another phone conversation with Abija, during which he reiterated his arrival time to the Harvest Committee Chairman.
Evang Segun Ajidara expressed his dissatisfaction with the events that unfolded when he arrived at CCC Ibara Cathedral Abeokuta to fulfill his duties as agreed upon. He confirmed his arrival at the Parish at exactly 3:30 am, but as soon as he stepped out of his car, he noticed the youth’s angry reaction, preventing him from performing. The situation escalated when a member of the Parish, known as “Solar,” punched one of the instrumentalists in the eye, clearly indicating their opposition to Evang Ajidara’s performance.
Fortunately, the timely intervention of CCC Ijaiye Cathedral Youth managed to control the chaos. However, this left Evang Segun Ajidara in a state of disbelief and skepticism. He couldn’t understand why the youth would react in such a negative and stereotypical manner especially considering his deep love for CCC Ibara Cathedral, Abeokuta. He had previously performed for the Parish on two separate occasions without accepting any payment. The disappointment grew when he later heard some false news, accusing him of accepting ₦700,000 from the Parish, while some said he collected #500,000 and arriving at the venue at 4 am. Evang Segun Ajidara vehemently denied these claims, stating that some people have been misinformed and it an attempt to support an injustice against him.
In light of these events, Evang Segun Ajidara felt it was necessary to publicly clarify the situation for future reference and to correct any negative perceptions towards him and his musical career. He emphasized that his love and respect for CCC Ibara Cathedral, Abeokuta, remained unwavering. He vowed to continue spreading the message of peace and salvation through his music, touching the hearts of every soul.
