TO WHOM IT MAY COCERN
Calvary greetings to all music stakeholders in this great church.
1. I want to seize this opportunity to thank Jehovah Almighty for giving me grace of serving in the capacity of the Director of Music worldwide of this great church.
2. I want to express mu utmost gratitude to our father, Rev. EMF Oshoffa, the Pastor of our church, for believing in my spiritual, administrative, apprenticeship and behavioural capabilities to head the Music Department of this great church.
I, equally, thank all our spiritual fathers and mothers in this fold for associating with us and remembering us in your prayers, which is sustaining us this far.
3. I want to say it categorically that since my appointment as the Director of Music, I have been running the Central Choir with my personal money and help from very little individuals within the Central Choir and others. Therefore, I want to invite well meaning individuals within the Celestial Church of Christ and Christ’s children all over the world to partner with me in achieving our set goals.
As I was embarking on my working tour of the United States of America, I, officially, informed the Pastor via a letter, which I gave to him directly and he gave his consent to proceed after asking about the country involved.
4. Concerning the proposed conference/inauguration of the ‘Directorate of Music’ organized by some members of this church, I want to put it on record that up till now, none of them, either from the ‘Óffice of the Pastor’ as claimed or any individual, has called to inform me about the programme, despite the fact that most of them are my brothers, sisters and friends. I learnt that they all swore an oath of secrecy with respect to the development. My understanding is that when things of this nature happen, it is called ‘mutiny’ and (or) coup. This should be rejected by every reasonable Celestians throughout the world. It is an attempt to truncate the peace and progress that happens to our music department during the life of Baba Adetiran, which we are trying to improve upon.
5. It is on record that my appointment is based on recommendation by Baba Adetiran due to my apprenticeship, loyalty, steadfastness, tolerance, hard work and dedication, which I exhibited working with the late sage. In all the years, we suffered a lot but we did not look back. Most of the people who are now clamouring for positions in the Music Department of the church ran away and just re-converge now to hijack the choir and limit the power of the Director of Music by appointing some unqualified individuals to be superior to the Director of Music. At this juncture, I want to pray for the soul of that gallant soldier of Christ, of our indefatigable leader and friend, A/V/S/E Oluwole Isaac Oladejo Adetiran, that through his contributions to the growth of music in this church, the Lord will continues to grant him peaceful and eternal rest. All his children, biological and others will continue to enjoy God’s grace as we move on. Jehovah Almighty will continue to strengthen our Mummy, MC Adetiran. Prior to his demise, he introduced me to the Pastor as the person to act for him at every occasions and meetings because of his failing health. My appointment, therefore, was confirmed by the Pastor as we experienced. The point I am making here is that ‘He who cannot follow well, can never lead well’. For a leader to name his successor as exemplified by A/V/S/E Adetiran of blessed memory, it is very rare at times like this.
6. When I heard about the ‘çoup’, I called a father - figure, but he pretended and acted as though he was not in the know of it at all. He later told me that they swore to an oath of when they were planning the programme. This is exactly one of the attributes of a ‘coup’. Meanwhile, here is a person I submitted my interview with Baba Brobro to just a few years back so that he could obtain his PhD.
When their plans were made public, I called the attention of some senior clergy and people in the Pastor’s office for clarifications, I was told that they will get back to me. Up till now, there is no response from any quarters.
7. In light of the foregoing, I, hereby disassociate myself from the ‘mutiny’ branded as a conference/inauguration. I, therefore, wish to advise choirmasters, choristers and members of the Central Choir to jettison the programmes and wait for further instructions from the office of the Director of Music as may be directed by the Pastor.
In conclusion, I want all choristers to remain resolute and calm and attend rehearsals of the Central Choir as scheduled. There is no problem however little and I wish everyone a nice and beautiful day. Thank you.
Yours in Christ,
Superior Evangelist Rotimi Olaosebikan Director of Music CCC Worldwide
